This video describes the work of the Tanzanian branch of the international NGO, Action for Children in Conflict., which works for the protection and empowerment of children. AFC Tanzania, based in Arusha, educates the community about internationally defined child rights, and runs a microcredit and income generation program for mothers to ensure that children living in difficult conditions have their basic needs met. They also partner with the Shalom Centre to house, educate and counsel former street children. This video was made collaboratively by members of AFC and students from Williams College. It is in Swahili and English, and was made in 2009.
