The Association Nationale Pour le Bien Etre de la Population (ANBEP) was created in 1991. They are based in Yeumbeul, a banlieu of Dakar, Senegal, and also work in villages in Matam, in the North of Senegal. In Yeumbeul they run programs of education and HIV prevention for women and children in the community, and function as a pole of excellence, supporting other smaller community-based organizations. This video shows their income generation projects in villages in the North, where they have been creating and supporting market gardens and training peer educators for HIV prevention. The video was made by members of ANBEP after a short training with Professor Honderich, with support from Africa Consultants International (ACI), an NGO based in Dakar, Senegal. It is primarily in Pulaar with short sections in French, and was made in 2009.
