La Vulnerabilite des Hommes au VIH

The Association pour la Promotion de la Femme Senegalaise (Association for the Advancement of Senegalese Women, or APROFES) was created in 1987 in Kaolack, Senegal. They work against violence against women, educate and train women in their community, and support their economic and social advancement. This video was created by members of APROFES’ theatre troupe, collaboratively with students from Williams College, with support from Africa Consultants International (ACI), an NGO based in Dakar, Senegal. The video explains what makes men vulnerable to infection with HIV, since men often exercise more control than women over the decision to have safe sex. It is in Wolof and French, and was made in 2008.
